Today marks 100 years that the American Cancer Society has raised money and support for cancer research.
To celebrate, the ACS is encouraging people to join together and take action to finish the fight against cancer. The goal is to recruit 100 volunteers across Kansas during the month of May.
Today the American Cancer Society is hosting a volunteer fair and open house in its Topeka office from 4:30 until 6:30 p.m. at 1215 SW Arrowhead Rd. The fair will help inform the public of what volunteer opportunities are out there through the ACS. Prizes and refreshments are available during the fair.
