No one was hurt after an early morning house fire in South Topeka.
It broke out shortly before 6 this morning at a home near 25th and Kansas Ave. When firefighters arrived the blaze had worked its way through the roof of the one story house.
A fire investigator says a woman lives in the house but was not at home at the time of the fire. Fire officials say the cause of the fire isn't known but no foul play is suspected.
Damage to the house and its content was placed at $30,000.
