Members of the Topeka media are invited to the official unveiling and grand opening of Alligator Frenzy, a bayou adventure, at 10 a.m., Thursday, at the Topeka Zoo. Mayor Larry Wolgast will be on hand along with chamber members and exhibit sponsors to cut the ribbon and officially open the exhibit.
Alligator Frenzy has been made possible through a collaboration of many partners including the City of Topeka, Friends of the Topeka Zoo, AIDG Inc., and many local businesses and private citizens.
Alligator Frenzy will feature Opal, a white North American Alligator, a feeding lagoon of 40 juvenile alligators, and an assortment of other animals that live in and around the bayou.
Alligator Frenzy runs through September 30th and is included with zoo admission. Feeding and photo opportunities are available for an additional fee.
