WICHITA, Kan. (AP) - Wichita fire officials say a young boy has died in a fire in southwest Wichita.
Fire Captain Stuart Bevis says three people escaped from the home just before midnight Wednesday but they said another child was inside the home. The boy, about 1½-years-old, was found dead in the front room. The three other occupants were taken to a Wichita hospital.
An autopsy will determine the cause of the child's death.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation. The house is considered a total loss.
