Believe it or not, on Monday, Fairbanks, Alaska was hotter than Topeka, KS! Fairbanks reached 86º on Tuesday while Topeka only got to 85º. A large heat-dome is sitting on-top of our 49th state and is helping them reach near record highs. This dome of heat will eventually move away and the temps in Alaska will return to normal highs in the 70s. Meanwhile, we will see hot air return to the Midwest by Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Just in time for summer!
