Kansas State University officials will break ground on an expansion of the College of Engineering Friday.
The 40-million dollar project is set to be completed and ready to open in the fall of 20-15. It's located across from Ahearn Fieldhouse.
The building will include classrooms, laboratories and an auditorium.
Contruction was made possible by the Kansas University Engineering Initiative Act....which seeks to increase the number of engineering graduates by more than 50 percent over a ten year period.
The university will also break ground on a 50-million dollar college of business administration building.
