Authorities arrested a man early this morning after he broke through the first floor window of Lawrence Representative Tom Sloan's office at the Statehouse.
Workers were busy late Friday morning getting measurements to make repairs to the window. The Wichita Eagle reports the man broke the window, crawled on top of Sloan's desk and claimed federal authorities were after him.
Capital employees say a guard was patrolling the hallways around 1:30 a.m. when he heard a noise coming from Sloan's office.
According to Capitol Police, 30-year-old Giovanni Barcelona of Topeka was apprehended without incident and gave no reason for the break-in.
