WICHITA, Kan. (AP) — Wichita police have identified a man shot to death at a weekend party.
The Wichita Eagle reports (http://bit.ly/12Ej2Kg ) that 27-year-old James Gary was killed in the shootout early Sunday.
Lt. Scott Heimerman says four other people were injured, including two critically. The shooting occurred at a warehouse that had been rented out for a party. Police say more than 100 people had gathered at the warehouse and parking lot when arguments broke out and shots were fired.
Heimerman, head of the department's gang unit, says the shooting is gang-related.
Heimerman says police have also identified a suspect but have not released the suspect's name or description.
Capt. Brent Allred says it's the ninth homicide of the year in Wichita.
