Two Los Angeles based filmmakers are bringing history to life in Junction City.
24 year-old John Alexander and producer JC Guest, both Harvard Graduates wrote a film called "The Bender Claim."
The film is based in the 1870's and is about a family of innkeepers in southeast Kansas who butchered nearly a dozen travelers.
It was said a member of the family would distract the guest at dinner while the others snuck up and brutally murdered them.
The victims were buried in the family apple orchard but the family left town before law enforcement discovered the killings.
The disappearances are still unexplained but the producer of the film, JC Guest says this is one of those historic tales that she feels people should know.
