WICHITA, Kan. (AP) — Wichita police say a 49-year-old man has died after being struck by two vehicles while crossing a road with a horse and a 6-year-old boy.
The Wichita Eagle (http://bit.ly/12ap9Kz ) reports that the first vehicle fled after the collision. The second vehicle struck after two bystanders ran to the aid of the man, the child and the horse.
Wichita police Sgt. Jeff Davis says the bystanders were in serious condition at the time of the collision. The 6-year-old was in critical condition. All three were hospitalized.
The horse was reportedly euthanized.
The name of the victim wasn't immediately released.
