At approximately 10:35 this morning, the driver of a black 2008 Chrysler 300 traveling eastbound on SE 29th St. approaching SE Croco Rd. lost control of the vehicle, sideswiped another car that was stopped at a traffic light. The Chrysler then crossed through the intersection at 29th & Croco and left the roadway, striking a support cable for a utility pole then continued to travel in a northeast direction, crashing through a privacy fence and coming to a stop after striking a residence located in the 2800 block of SE Lakeridge Ct. There was nobody in the residence at the time of the incident.
The driver of the vehicle was transported to Stormont Vail Hospital with non life threatening injuries. There were two occupants in the vehicle that was sideswiped. The occupants were not injured.
The cause of the accident is under investigation.
