The Douglas County Underwater Rescue and Recovery team spent much of today at Lake Shawnee.
Kansas First News was told they were searching for evidence in connection with the early 2012 homicide of Topeka business man Corey Brown.
Topeka Police say they received a tip and asked the team to conduct a search on their behalf. Brown was found dead in a rural part of western Douglas County on January 3, 2012.
Just last Friday, the Shawnee County District Attorney filed a 1st degree murder charge against Brown’s business partner, Monroe Lockhart III of Topeka. Lockhart and Brown were business partners in Hudson Crossing at SE 15th and Adams in Topeka.
