Yesterday afternoon the Riley County Police Department conducted a search warrant at 2029 Green Avenue in Manhattan. This search warrant was part of an ongoing investigations into the distribution of illegal drugs in the Manhattan and Riley County area and resulted in the seizure of several items to include 3.79 pounds of marijuana, a handgun with ammunition, hash oil, several electronics items and 13 pieces of drug paraphernalia.
Among other items seized were over 40 pairs of Nike shoes and sporting goods equipment.
Investigators with the Riley County Police Department ultimately made the arrests of Jared Ingram, 23 and Derek Swiercinsky, 27, both of the aforementioned address in Manhattan. Ingram and Swiercinsky were confined on $30,000.00 bond at Riley County Jail for possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, conspiracy to distribute marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, no Kansas drug tax stamp, criminal possession of a firearm by a felon, and unlawful drug proceeds. At the time of this release Swiercinsky was still confined.
