A former state representative is in critical condition after a head-on collision Thursday morning.
According to the Lawrence Journal World, 65-year-old John Solbach was driving an all-terrain vehicle west on Stull Road and attempted to make a left turn.
A 1999 Ford Escort came up over the hill and hit the ATV head-on - sending Solbach from his vehicle into a ditch.
He was not wearing a seat belt at the time.
The accident happened around 9:00am.
Solbach was transported by ambulance to Stormont-Vail Hospital in Topeka.
The driver of the car - 39-year-old Robert Warren, Jr. of Lawrence - was not injured.
