A construction project recently put on hold in south Topeka is back on track.
The city announced today that it has developed an alternative plan to the construction on SW Gage Boulevard.
The revised plan allows for two-way traffic at all times during construction on the stretch of road, and will be limited to the existing five-lanes from 33rd Terr. to 37th St.
The east half of the roadway will be constructed first followed by the west half.
The three-lane stretch from 37th St. to 45th St. will be reconstructed in a later year.
