A man is facing first degree murder charges in the 2012 death of his business partner.
It was a cold case until today. Law enforcement said new evidence led them to Monroe Lockhart, who now is facing charges for the January 2012 murder of Corey Brown.
Brown’s body was found in Douglas County nearly two years ago with a gunshot wound.
Monroe is already in jail for other non-related battery charges.
The two were business partners in the Hudson Crossing Development in East Topeka.
