LAKE BUTLER, Fla. (AP) — Florida investigators say that a former trucking company employee who went on a weekend shooting rampage that left him and two others dead left a handwritten note with a list of his victims.
The Union County Sheriff’s Office reports that three days of interviews with people who knew 72-year-old Hubert Allen Jr. haven’t turned up a motive for Saturday’s shooting spree centered around Prichett Trucking Inc. But investigators found the note listing the victims at Allen’s house.
After killing his former boss and another co-worker and wounding two others, Allen killed himself at his nearby home.
Prichett Trucking’s website said it employs 400 people and owns hundreds of vehicles that operate nationwide.
