Topeka High's Kris Snyder advances to Saturday's play at Kossover Tennis Center. Snyder is Topeka's only singles player to make it to Saturday, winning his first two matches before losing to the 6A state tournament's top overall seed.
Washburn Rural's No. 1 doubles team of Griff Koupal and Matt Murray are moving on despite their first loss of the season. In their first match they fell 6-4, 4-6, and 10-8 in a tiebreaker to Blue Valley West's Tyler Hamedi and Nico Riveros. Their teammates and the No. 2 doubles team at Rural, of Reid and Nathan Osborne, bowed out in their third contest on Friday.
Topeka West's Austin Davids is moving on the the 5A semifinals. Davids defeated Miege senior Steven Wirtz 6-1, 6-1 to move on.

Blake Hunter defeated Parsons' Payton Hays 6-2, 6-2 to move on, while little brother Tommy defeated Hesston's Collin Martin 6-1, 6-1. Both of Hayden's doubles teams our out after losing two matches on the opening day.
