At 10:45 a.m. the east and westbound lanes of I-70 - which closed between Burlington, Colorado to Goodland, Kansas last night - have been reopened.
Snow, ice and poor visibility conditions caused the temporary closure throughout the night and this morning.
The traffic pattern for I-70, between the CO/KS state line and Exit 12, is currently in a head-to-head pattern in the westbound lanes. The eastbound lanes are currently closed while a reconstruction project is underway.
While the lanes are open to the traveling public, winter driving conditions still do exist. Please use extreme caution and drive to the present conditions.
For up-to-date road closures and road conditions, please call 511 in Kansas
